Atlanta, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Radio Frequency Engineer in Decatur.
What you will do: The Radio Frequency Engineer designs analog and RF circuits for new products, is responsible for the implementation of RF circuits including transceivers and peripheral wireless sensors, and simulates, develops, and tests products in the 300 to 450MHz, and ISM bands as well as wireless networking technologies including Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. The role takes new products from the conceptual stage all the way to manufacturing, works with internal and external laboratories to verify product meets FCC and UL requirements as well as protocol compliance, and interacts with the manufacturing facilities to develop proper assembly and testing techniquesequipment. Additionally, the Radio Frequency Engineer will mentor members of the design team in engineering practices.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in radio frequency engineering. Current experience in embedded software design. Knowledge of wireless communications protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). Knowledge of FCC Part 15 regulations. Hands-on experience with lo-noise RF amplifiers, filter, power supplies, op-amps, system circuit design, and PCB layout. Broad experience in design work in low-cost, high-performance commercial electronics is highly desired. Experience with advanced communication protocols such as mesh networking (Zigbee) is a plus.
