Lewisburg, Tennessee – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Weld Technician.
What you will do: The Weld Technician teaches robots points for optimum MIG-weld robustness, adjusts weld fixtures to control end product dimensions as well as MIG-weld gap/robustness, and develops preventative maintenance procedures related to weld fixtures and weld guns. The role improves process robustness, up-time and cycle time by researching and improving weld consumables, maintains shim adjustment logs for assigned area, and documents/improves welding parameters. The position provides input for evaluation of equipment and processes and understands incoming part quality and its effect on MIG-weld dimensional robustness.
What you will need: HS diploma, but Associate’s degree preferred. Experience in welding and welding techniques. Experience with Mig-welding. Experience with welding robotics. Experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
