Detroit, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leading suppliers of innovative parts and systems to the global automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Warranty Engineer.
What you will do: The Warranty Engineer is responsible for leading the activities of the warranty claims to minimize costs, reduction of claims, issue detection and internal escalation. The position assists in early detection of issues and participate in their resolution, monitors OEM warranty recovery systems/procedures and support internal cost avoidance, and initiates/evaluates the design of new products and the improvement of existing products. The role calculates stack-up of detail components, prepares mathematical computations, dimensional and tolerance studies in accordance with engineering/customer requirements, and revises existing part data per engineering direction. Additionally, the Warranty Engineer observes group and customer data standards for file construction and storage and designs consideration for cost saving initiatives.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Working knowledge of OEM Warranty Systems. Mid-range experience in the manufacturing/engineering industry.
