Validation & Verification Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with a privately held multinational company in the automotive space. Our 50-year-old client is stable, growing and paid out their bonuses above 100% for the last 4 years and look to continue with strong growth. Because of this, they have a newly created position for an Software Validation Engineer.

What you will do: The Software Validation Engineer determines systems validation requirements, current and future products, interfaces with a variety of groups including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, and purchasing, and develops systems test plans and test cases for a complex multi-featured system. The role develops/documents functional and diagnostic requirements, assists in developing hardware/software test plans, and oversees bench level laboratory testing. The position participates in design reviews, investigates and evaluate new technology, and leads in selecting validation tools. Additionally, the Software Validation Engineer performs detailed specification, design and development of test procedures for complex safety critical features, reviews plans and architecture with systems engineers, and provides expert assistance in integration and troubleshooting.

What you need: B.S. in Engineering or Software. Systems or systems validation experience. Software development experience. Experience in functional validation testing, test case development and test automation. Understanding of system product requirements and ability to develop test cases and reports. Knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols and diagnostics. Understanding of safety-critical systems design. Working knowledge of ISO 26262. Experience in Vector CAN tools. Experience with LabVIEW. Experience with HIL testing.
