Validation Engineer – Seating

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened Validation Engineer role.

What you will do: The Validation Engineer develops, optimizes and manages test plans that are used to evaluate and/or validate products, while also providing results reporting for completed tests and program status. The role manages a test schedule using validation database, and/or customer specific format, uses validation process protocols such as Issue Tracking, ED/DV/PV, DVP Structure, Naming Conventions, PV FTP, Spec Updating Process, PD2, and serves as key contact person between product development team and test labs. The position develops optimization plans for test samples using acceptable practices, supports internal and/or external customer meetings and reviews as required, and provides clear instructions on how a test should be setup and conducted. Additionally, the Validation Engineer reviews data and reporting of all tests (including final disposition of results), supports product development team on pre/post test sample reviews as required, and maintains program test requirement metrics including “Right first time.”

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in validation engineering. Knowledge of automotive test methods and automotive test specifications. Test lab experience (equipment, methods, instruments). Experience with statistical practice and/or tools. Experience with metals and seating.
