Turbomachinery Sales Manager

Houston, Texas Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a national manufacturer of turbomachinery. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Sales Manager.

What you will do: The Sales Manager maintains direct customer account responsibility to call on, build relationships with, develop and handle opportunities for business, while also seeking new business and new customer relationships. The role coordinates activities within assigned customer base and is responsive to customer project needs, creates/maintains strategic plans to maximize chance of winning opportunities, and coordinates all commercial activities with support from other team members on opportunities brought into firm bidding phase. The position coordinates internal technical support activities with marketing engineers, application engineers and other professionals in the preparation and submittal of turbomachinery proposals applicable to the respective accounts/area of responsibility. Additionally, the Sales Manager coordinates direct involvement project negotiations of final technical requirements and commercial terms applicable to a potential order, along with other expert support staff, while also performing reporting tasks in CRM (customer relationship management) platform and maintaining organizational maps for assigned customer base.

What you will need: Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred). Mid-range experience in sales. Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, metallurgy, gas properties, fluid dynamics, etc. Turbines or Generators HIGHLY preferred.  Marketing, Application and/or Sales experience related to rotating machinery at users and/or engineering contractor levels.
