Turbine Engineer

San Francisco, California – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national, transmission and driveline manufacturer. Due to their most recent growth, they have opened a position for a Turbine Engineer in Alameda.

What you will do: The Turbine Engineer develops and deploys new concepts and improvements for turbine engines. The role is responsible for turbine design, simulation and testing, vendor selection and production transition, while also taking responsibility for all aspects of drivetrain. Overall, the position is responsible for combustor design, air recouperator design, compressor and turbine shaft design, bearing selection and design, and seal design and selection.

What you will need: BS in Engineering. Experience developing combustors. Solid understanding of turbine technology. Experience with CARB certification and emissions testing. Proficient with Solidworks/ePDM. Hands-on testing experience. Experience with design for assembly/manufacturing. Proven experience with high speed rotating equipment. Previous experience with rotordynamics calculations. Knowledgeable in CFD analysis.
