Traffic Engineering Project Manager

Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a civil engineering firm that is looking to expand their team; due to this growth, they are looking for a Traffic Engineering Project Manager.

What you will do: The Traffic Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the quality of civil engineering work performed, scope, schedule, design, client service, utilization of staff, marketing, office reputation, contract management, billing collection, and project profitability for highway and bridge engineering projects. The role initiates and reviews proposals, leads and participates in interviews, presentations and public hearings, and maintains positive relationships with current and past clients. The position directs and coordinates activities of Project Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians, performs work with the preparation of roadway, highway, and bridge design using local (State, County or City), and supervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State, and County officials, and other outside agencies. Additionally, the Traffic Engineering Project Manager reviews plans, prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, and assures that project team complies with the contract agreement.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. PE certification. Experience in conducting traffic analyses (TIA’s) to NCDOT standards. Experience in negotiating with both private and public sector clients. NCDOT experience required along with a proven ability to communicate effectively with DOT, municipal and county DOT officials effectively. VDOT or SCDOT experience a plus. Experience with public involvement outreach along with assisting in business development. Proficient in all major Traffic engineering related software as well as AutoCAD software proficient. GeoPak and MicroStation experience is a plus.
