Tool and Die Engineer - Metal Stamping

Grand Rapids, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier of tier one products to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Tool and Die Engineer – Metal Stamping.

What you will do: The Tool and Die Engineer – Stamping ensures tool room has all tools and every die component needed, manages engineering changes on existing dies, and creates process sheets. The role figures out tonnage, completes blank reductions for cost savings, and sets up crib inventory for new jobs. The position reviews preliminary process sheets for die feasibility, troubleshoots/maintains dies, and communicates with vendors and plants, while also answering all technical questions.

What you will need: Journeyman certification. Advanced experience in tool and die making within metal stamping. Current experience in a high volume, tier-one environment. Experience with AutoCAD, Plant Layouts, Engineering changes, 400 – 3,000 ton progressive, transfer, and tandem line presses, and PC-DMIS.
