Tier One Product Specialist

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a leading supplier of electronic components to the automotive industry.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created Product Specialist position open.

What you will do:  The Product Specialist implements product plans, introduces derivative products and maintains existing products within an assigned product family or group of product families. The role supports the group product manager in the development/implementation of strategic product and annual business plans targeting markets, industries, and customers, increases sales/market share of assigned product line in support of divisional objectives, and tracks progress to plan for revenue, profit, and backlog. The position works with group product managers to improve profit and return on investment of assigned product line, supports cost reduction, capacity planning, and quality improvement projects within established guidelines, and reviews/approves special price requests. Additionally, the Product Specialist assists with technical writing of application notes, training materials, new product introduction packages and other product related communications, is responsible for assigned product releases, and develops various sales tools, while also giving product presentations to customers, distributors and field sales.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Technical Degree with experience in manufactured products. Experience in sales, marketing, engineering or customer service handling technical inquires. Basic knowledge of SAP, CRM, Vendavo, BW and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Previous product management or product marketing experience (internal or external).
