Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing, diversified, publicly traded 40 year old company that is a leading supplier to the commercial automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Product Engineer – Steel Suspension.
What you will do: The Product Engineer is responsible for the engineering of stabilizer bars and coil springs for OEM customers, with main responsibility resting in the initial technical design and the continuous technical support according to the customer’s expectations. The role provides calculations and analysis for to ensure technical design compliance, provides technical summaries to sales & manufacturing for cost & feasibility analysis. The position supports project meetings & technical reviews, reviews/releases design drawings created by the CAD Designer, and coordinates prototype development including procurement and tracking. Additional responsibilities include coordinating tier sub-suppliers technical design & development progress and developing test plans.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Current experience as a manufacturing engineer.Technical knowledge and experience in steel suspension. Professional experience at automotive supplier or OEM.
