Tier One Product Engineer - Structural Systems

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working a tier one supplier of automotive systems and due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for a Product Engineer for their Structural Systems group.

What you will do: The Product Engineer is responsible for the design and development of new and current products through CAD designs and detailed drawings while prototyping and production sample builds for dynamics, and kinematics of multi-linkage mechanical systems.  The position will coordinate quotation packages and make engineering drawings as required to facilitate changes in production making sure the APQP Documentation is up to date. The product engineer works with component suppliers to maximize design effectiveness through purchasing and leads product design reviews.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in product engineering within a tier-one automotive environment. Detailed product knowledge of a multi-linkage product or similar. Experience in new product design and development. Experience working with cross functional teams and APQP Documents (Timing, DFMEA, DVP&R..). Experience with program management, DFMEA, DVP&R, and GD&T. Knowledge of design of experiments (DOE).
