Detroit, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a Fortune 100 manufacturing company.   Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Master Black Belt.

What you will do: The Master Black Belt leads teams to drive projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business, is responsible for major and complex projects with long-term business implications, and contributes to strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise.  The position serves as project leader to ensure initiation, progress and on-time completion of project deliverables, implements “Lean” techniques and methodologies during project execution in order to achieve defined project objectives, and communicates progress, status and issues to executive champion and business leaders. Additionally, the Master Black Belt serves as change agent by stimulating, communicating and institutionalizing Operational Excellence initiatives, utilizes broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and procedures, trains, coaches, and mentors regarding Continuous Improvement concepts and techniques.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Certification as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Experience in Manufacturing/manufacturing  Experience in Process Improvement, Business Operations, or Project/Program management. Proven experience leading Lean Six Sigma and/ or similar process improvement methodologies such as Shainin and Red X. Proven experience applying Lean and/or Six Sigma tools through the DMAIC, DMADV and/or DFSS methodologies. Experience using statistical software tools, such as Tableau, Minitab, or Jump.
