Tier One Launch Manager

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Launch Manager.

What you will do: The Launch Manager defines a clear scope for the project and ensures that the required team members are in place. The role develops quote packages and specifications with plants to ensure quoting and analysis are fair between suppliers and cover the entire scope of the project, while also developing and tracking budgets for each project. The position develops the overall detailed project schedule and keeping it updated weekly, develops/updates weekly detailed reports for each project to show status and issues, and works with the legal department to put contracts into place with suppliers and contractors. Additionally, the Program Manager works with plant management to improve the processing or layouts of a project that improves quality and through put of a process and works with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely completion and reporting of projects and resolving any issues that may arise.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience program management. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects. Strong knowledge and ability to implement cost and quality improvements (Kaizen). Knowledge of automotive motors. Knowledge of automotive chassis. Ability to travel up to 75%. AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.
