Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a tier-one supplier for the automotive manufacturing industry. Due to this recent growth, they have opened a position for a Sales Engineer.
What you will do: The Sales Engineer acts as the interface between technical staff and OEM Customers. The role determines the customer requirements for new products, supplies technical and commercial support for sales staff, and seeks out/reports any potential business opportunities to the appropriate business team. The position develops/maintains product charts for current and future customer programs, monitors/aids in resolution of commercial, timing, and technical issues, and facilitates meetings between the customer and company. Additionally, the Sales Engineer tracks design release and prototype material requirement dates, develops system and product concepts with customer engineers, and supports launch issues, attending customer change management meetings for review and approval of product design changes.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Knowledge of 5 Phase, 6S, and lean manufacturing in general. Current experience in sales engineering. Experience with APQP documents.
