Little Rock, Arkansas – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading supplier of electronic components to a myriad of industries. We have been tasked to identify an Assembly Supervisor for a newly created role.
What you will do: The Assembly Supervisor schedules/prioritizes employee work assignments, communicates issues and priorities with other supervisors, and assists employees with problems and questions regarding performance of duties. The role coordinates the training activities for the employees within the department, assists in the interviewing process for job candidates, and approves employee time cards, maintains attendance records and approves vacation requests. The position encourages employee participation in improving production quality and lot acceptance rate, works with engineering to improve product quality, and coordinates efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvements. Additionally, the Assembly Supervisor promotes team building and employee participation using work cells, assists in budget planning, and manages the departmental budget including labor and discretionary spending.
What you will need: Current supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Hands on experience with assembly.
