Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Process Engineer.

What you will do:  The Process Engineer ensures health, safety, environmental, quality, and productivity goals are met using good engineering practices, gathers process data, analyzes process capabilities and efficiency, and improves process safety, quality and productivity targets through engineering and selection of process equipment, instruments and parameters. The role reviews, evaluates and/or recommends materials, instruments and equipment, standard capital projects, purchase requisitions and purchase orders, while also analyzing root causes of variability, non-conformance and/or complaints. The position implements corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence using quality and engineering toolboxes, supports site initiatives to reduce inventory, costs, or lead-time, and leads, manages and/or supports capital projects so that they are on time and on budget. Additionally, the Process Engineer leads, manages and/or supports special projects as needed by senior management, liaisons with vendors and contractors regarding projects and improvement activities, and provides technical training to process operators and lead persons where applicable.

What you will need: B.S. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Current experience in process engineering. Current experience in manufacturing. OSHA, job hazard analysis, risk assessment, and process safety training certifications. Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, and other quality systems or standards. Thorough understanding in theories and practices related to melting, atomization, screening, classifying, measuring, and data monitoring technologies. Calibration protocols and device tracking experience. SAP software experience.
