Hempstead, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Test Engineer.
What you will do: The Test Engineer is responsible for creating an understanding of the correlation between process parameters and processing hardware for powder manufacturing technologies such as plasma spherodization, spray drying, cladding, milling and sintering and the resulting powder characteristics. The role explores new powder manufacturing routes and technologies, establishes process procedures and work instructions and handles special safety or lLean related projects. The role transfers technology from pilot to manufacturing, supports manufacturing process engineers during the scale-up of new products, and assists powder manufacturing equipment trouble shooting. Additionally, the Test Engineer generates, maintains and updates equipment manuals and processing procedures, generates engineering reports, status reviews and presentations, and provides assistance for lean projects and safety projects as well as quotations.
What you will need: Master’s degree in materials science or engineering. Hands on experiences with powder manufacturing, materials processing. Current experience in testing. Strong experience in manufacturing.
