Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a multi-national leader in automobile electronics. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Test Lab Technician.
What you will do: The Test Lab Technician performs lab activities including the test preparation, set-up, execution, compiling of test data, and the writing of the test report. The position builds fixtures or load banks for tests, compiles test data for internal and customer test reports, and maintains test lab equipment operation and calibration. The role performs measurements for tests i.e., voltage drop, contact resistance, current measurement, dimensional, displacement (angular or linear), applied force, destruct limits, performs root cause analysis in the event of failure, and maintains the lab. Additionally, the Test Lab Technician delivers parts to outside labs for testing and relocates test lab equipment.
What you will need: One year certificate from a college/technical school. Current experience in a testing lab. Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical concepts. Understanding of engineering drawings (how to read a print or schematic). Solder, wire stripping and crimping, and mechanical assembly ability. Experience with automotive electronics.
