Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Technical Operations Engineer.
What you will do: The Technical Operations Engineer is responsible for field technical support during battery system installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, and unplanned maintenance related to battery energy storage systems installed in North America. The role supports Factory Acceptance Tests at system integrator’s facilities, provides ESS installation at customer site (racks, modules, controls, cabling, containers, PCS), and manages customer training. The position supports routine maintenance, updates equipment software, and is the first-line response to visually inspect the ESS. Additionally, the Technical Operations Engineer produces service reports and contributes to subsequent quality analysis analyses, while also coordinating post-installation support with the project management team.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience in complex electromechanical assembly preferably in the energy industry. Experience with field installation and/or support of electromechanical equipment, especially energy storage systems or renewable energy products or systems. Strong knowledge of AC/DC power. Familiarity with software programming tools.
