Technical Administration Manager

Lansing, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a local healthcare provider to highlight a Technical Administration Manager for their newly created role.

What you will do: The Technical Administration Manager supervises technical staff that are responsible for Unix administration, Enterprise storage administration, EMR database administration, Databases and Data Warehouse administration, Interfaces and Integration programming, custom application development, SharePoint and Web applications. The role assigns/coordinates work assignments and resolution of critical technical and procedural problems, manages and mentors supervisors, project leaders and/or technical staff, and develops/implements long-range technical services plan. The position works cooperatively with other Information Technology teams to develop strategic and tactical plans to facilitate and coordinate the delivery of technical services, develops departmental standards and procedures including systems programming standards and program documentation requirements, and defines/monitors multiple projects, providing technical and administrative supervision. Additionally, the Technical Administration Manager provides technical consultation and support to users and other IT staff, defines/implements common change control procedures across all Computing Services teams, and develops/directs the capital and operating budget for the Technical Administration team.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering. Supervisory experience in Information Technology. Project management experience. Experience in development, implementation and maintenance of management systems across multiple infrastructure technology domains. High level understanding of operating systems and foundation architecture. ITIL, SOX or HiTech implementation experience in infrastructure organization.
