Decatur, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client with headquarters in Atlanta. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Tech Lab Supervisor.
What you will do: The Tech Lab Supervisor is responsible for test and measurement operations on Acuity Brands lighting products, component parts and related materials. The role performs thermal, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and photometric testing of products, compiles test reports to provide the laboratory customer accurate metrics, and devises means of testing non-standard configurations of lighting fixtures. The position provides the means to test products which for all intents and purposes are deemed standard products in company literature and brochures, maintains computer documents and graphics to substantiate the results published in a final test report, and maintains laboratory equipment and supplies in clean, reliable condition. Additionally, the Tech Lab Supervisor minimizes cost of laboratory operations, attends training sessions, meetings, technical presentations to remain up-to-date with latest techniques, procedures and/or company policies, and conducts on-job-training to newly hired or appointed employees.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in supervision. Knowledge of Safety standards such as UL standards to enable certification by a third party safety certification body to test to those standards. Knowledge of IESNA testing methods to enable certification for NVLAP photometric testing program. Background in electrical, electronic and illumination engineering desirable.
