Systems & Robotic Controls Engineer

Rochester Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearrch.com/jobs    is working with a 10,000 employee tier one supplier to the automotive industry.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Control Systems Engineer.

What you will do: The Control Systems Engineer works within an international team of laser processing engineers to develop machines for automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods industries. The role designs, programs, updates, and troubleshoots PLC topics, leads discussions for software/controls architecture and technical resolution, and designs approval and change management. The role works with customers from the proposal stage through start of production, supports installations and startup, and develops controls documents, user documents. Additionally, the Control Systems Engineer performs customer training, provides troubleshooting support for the service team, and acts as the primary technical interface to sales team and customers.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in controls. Advanced knowledge of 6 axis industrial robotics. Automotive assembly line experience is a plus. Experience in most of: PC based Software- C#; Networking Ethernet TCP/IP, RS 232, ProfiNet, deviceNet,  ProfiBus; Data acquisition – labview; PLC – Siemens and Allen Bradley families; Design- AutoCAD, Pro E. Cenit offline programming experience is a plus. Knowledge of German language is highly desirable.
