Farmington Hills, Michigan Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Systems Engineer Architect.

What you will do: The System Engineer Architect is responsible for the analysis of system requirements defining the proper system architecture capable to support in the most effective, safe and robust way the given functional and non functional requirements within the pre-defined boundaries and constraints. The role analyses requirements to develop an architecture, identifies and controls interfaces to external components (sensors, bus, etc), identifies and controls interfaces to internal components (e.g. HW, SW, Mechanics, etc), and develops the architecture by describing the behavior and physical elements as well as identification of logical functions. The position defines requirements on subsystems (HW, SW, Mechanics, etc) and interfaces components, maps subsystem elements and ensures bidirectional traceability, while also checking feasibility and ensuring a high reuse/core strategy. Additionally, the System Engineer Architect presents the architecture to the stakeholders and provides training.

What you will need: Master’s in Engineering. Experience in automotive safety relevant product development (sensors development and / or vehicle dynamics are preferred). Knowledge of system design methods and modeling tools such as Matlab Simulink, Stateflow and Rhapsody. Knowledge about supplied system components. Knowledge about HW and SW interfaces, as well as the HW and SW architecture. Strong Knowledge on Inertial Measurement Units and signals characteristics. Knowledge on sensors (acceleration and rate) operation, physical principles and implementation technologies (eg. MEMS). Knowledge on vehicle dynamics control and digital signal processing.
