Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global, electronics company to identify a Systems Safety Engineer for a newly created role.
What you will do: The Systems Safety Engineer creates/tracks of safety project plans for development programs, defines safety concepts for new products, and assists in the creation and review of functional safety analysis including FTA, FMEDA, CCA, Interface Analysis, SW FMEA, etc. The role sets up and manages a reliability database for electronic parts for the calculation of hardware metrics (SPFM, LFM, PMHF), communicates with customers for all functional safety topics including planning, reporting and issue resolution, and support specification setup (in cooperation with Polarion systems admin) including semiconductor (e.g. NXP/Infineon monolithic solutions) and product (sales support to Asian companies) specification setup. The position reviews safety case documentation for series production, assists in documentation and maintenance of functional safety procedures and work flow, and maintains compliance to current ISO standards and customer specific requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in systems engineering. Experience in functional safety for embedded applications. Experience with functional safety methods according to ISO26262 is preferred. Knowledge of established safety concepts and analysis methods.
