Systems Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading manufacturer of automotive, electronic systems and due to recent growth, they have opened a position for a Systems Engineer – Open Source.

What you will do: The Systems Engineer – Open Source supports execution of Open Source Software requirements and other elements across global programs and multiple model years. The role gathers/analyzes electronic control unit implementation plans, communicates with a large body of component owners and program teams, and tracks critical dependencies for successful compliance of Open Source Software content. The position leads change management of impacted programs, collaborates with ECU design responsible engineers (DREs), Tier-1 suppliers, and buyers for clarification/correction/enhancement of the Open Source Software requirements, and provides support to users of the Open Source requirements to resolve issues that may arise during its use. Additionally, the Systems Engineer – Open Source answers front line questions from program teams and electrical teams, manages multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of complexity, and remains knowledgeable of relevant trends, technologies, and best practices for using Open Source Software.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in systems engineering. Experience with Open Source Software. Knowledge of vehicle electronic architecture. Experience with GM is a plus.
