System Architect-HW/SW

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a tier-one automotive supplier. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a System Engineering Architect.

What you will do: The System Engineering Architect is responsible for the analysis of System Requirements defining the proper System Architecture capable to support in the most effective, safe and robust way the given functional and non functional requirements within the pre-defined boundaries and constraints. The role analyses Requirements to develop an Architecture, controls interfaces to external components (sensors, bus, etc), and controls interfaces to internal components (e.g. HW, SW, Mechanics, etc). The position develops the architecture by describing the behavior and physical elements as well as identification of logical functions, defines requirements on subsystems (HW, SW, Mechanics, etc) and interfaces components, and maps Subsystem elements. Additionally, the Systems Engineering Architect checks feasibility and ensures a high reuse/core strategy and owns change control board for interfaces and elements.

What you will need: Master’s Degree in Engineering. Experience in automotive safety relevant product development. Knowledge of system design methods and modeling tools such as Matlab Simulink, Stateflow and Rhapsody. Knowledge about HW and SW interfaces, as well as the HW and SW architecture. Strong Knowledge on Inertial Measurement Units and signals characteristics. Knowledge on sensors (acceleration and rate) operation, physical principles and implementation technologies (eg. MEMS). Knowledge on vehicle dynamics control and digital signal processing. Experience with Automotive SPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO26262, System Modeling, Matlab Simulink, Stateflow and Rhapsody, Requirements management e.g. with DOORS, and Configuration management e.g. with PTC Integrity and Windchill.
