Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a multinational supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Supplier Quality Engineer in eastern Birmingham.
What you will do: The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for all supplier complaints pertaining to the relevant production line and/or new future products, supplier support, RMA procedures, quality documentation in the line processes, and support in PPAP issues. The role develops positive relationships and effective lines of communication with supplier-partnership oriented arrangements and manages the supplier quality metrics such as non-conformance tracking (MRB), supplier corrective action requests (SCAR), and corrective action and preventive action (CAPA). The position works closely with the purchasing/logistics department to establish and maintain a supplier quality scorecard that includes delivery, cost, partnership, advanced quality planning and quality, participates as a member of the board meetings to review and disposition supplier related non-conformance material report, and develops a monthly report to present the “Supplier Quality Pulse” to management.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Mid-range experience in quality management. Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. Current experience managing supplier relationships and auditing for quality assurance.
