Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global, electronics company to identify a Supplier Quality Engineer for a newly created role.
What you will do: The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for evaluation, assessment, selection and development of suppliers. The role establishes schedules for reviewing supplier capability, capacity and quality performance, conducts supplier audits to ensure compliance with TS16969 requirements, and works with purchasing to identify or develop new suppliers through on-site assessments and APQP. The position assists manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process, communicates with suppliers and internal staff on quality issues and improvements, and develops/implements a supplier quality reporting system. Additionally, the Supplier Quality Engineer maintains records related to supplier audits and corrective actions, champions activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate reoccurrence of non-conformances, and maintains compliance for current ISO standards and customer specific requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality engineering within automotive manufacturing. Extensive APQP and PPAP experience. Electromechanical design experience is a plus. TS/VDA training, lead auditor preferred. Supplier auditor certification is a plus.
