Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Supplier Quality Engineer.
What you will do: The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for coordination and performance of complete Supplier Risk Assessments. The role completes assessment evaluation – processes and capabilities, confirms understanding and utilization of AIAG documents/procedures, process control plans, PPAP, PFMEA, etc., and follows up on meetings/telecoms addressing any open actions/issues resulting from the assessment. The position oversees tooling progress reports, supports Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation for both prototype and production, and facilitates VA/VE exercises. Additionally, the Supplier Quality Engineer coordinates multi-functional teams from company and supplier, identifies premium components to target for cost reduction activities, and works as Liaison between engineering and supplier with supplier identified cost reduction proposals.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality engineering within manufacturing. Korean bilingualism. Experience with VA/VE.
