Seattle, Washington – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leader in the power generation and water/wastewater treatment industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Controls Engineer – Start Up.
What you will do: The Controls Engineer – Start Up is directly responsible for the successful commissioning of combustion/steam turbine control systems. The role is responsible for site project management and scheduling, supervision of control system retrofits and installations, and verification and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices. The position tests steam turbine and auxiliary equipment, tunes and optimizes PID controllers and control schemes, and identifies/communicates area for design and process improvements. Additionally, the Controls Engineer fosters project communication and collaboration and is responsible for compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mid-range experience in steam/combustion turbine controls systems. Experience with designing and implementing control system configuration changes. Experience working for a major turbine manufacturer or controls vendor. Steam generation process knowledge. Familiarity with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, process, instrumentation diagrams, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
