Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened a Sr. Textile Designer role.
What you will do: The Sr. Textile Designer develops textile designs that support fabric product business unit design strategy and business model. The role integrates hand and computer skills to create original designs for assigned brands that achieve the overall creative objective, collaborates with Technical Development team to ensure textile designs manufacturability and meets set price points. The position creates profitable, original ideas that support the customer design briefs, feasibility and cost objectives, manages partnerships with customer design teams and stays abreast of the benchmarks and market trends in the fabric sector. Additionally, the Sr. Textile Designer participates in creating and presenting fabric concepts to design teams and key partners, develops an understanding of business design concepts consistent with appropriate branding strategies, and communicates/collaborates with the textile technicians to be part of the technical achievement of the textiles.
What you will need: Bachelor of Arts degree. Current experience in textile design. Experience with graphic design. Experience with Textile, Illustrator and Photoshop software. Experience with customer communication.
