Syracuse, New York – Movement Search & Delivery movementsearch.com is working with a leading manufacturer of capital equipment for both industrial and consumer use. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a new position for a Structural Analysis Engineer.
What you will do: The Senior Engineer will be responsible for static and dynamic structural analysis. The role will work closely with the materials group, national and international divisional engineering, supplier partners, and outside universities to develop analytical methods for the identification of root cause and solutions to various structural problems. Additionally, the Structural Analysis Engineer will require technical and report writing, preparation and delivery of results and project presentations, hands-on laboratory work, coordination of support technicians and direct customer contact. The position will conduct structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and manage outsourcing FEA projects to off shore supplier(s), while also staying involved in developing test methods, machines and procedures to insure against failures due to excessive single loads, fatigue and brittle fracture.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Current experience in an engineering role. Experience with FEA and sound and vibration. Experience in structural analysis.
