Sr. Sensor Engineer


Northville, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with a growing automotive Tier-1.  Due to their recent growth, they have a newly created position for a Sensor Engineer.

What you will do: The Sensor Engineer plans and coordinates product specifications, creates documents based on customer requirements, and modifies specifications based on design test results, trial production results, and vehicle test results, etc. The role reviews and issues internal drawings, administers correct documentation, and designs quality improvement. The position extracts problems from manufacturing plants and market, analyzes the root cause for in-line detects and market failure, and solves product problems, while also confirming the effects of the countermeasure and establishing the design standards. Additionally, the Sensor Engineer researches and recommends capable suppliers, makes the drawings for local suppliers, and evaluates proto-samples.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience with electro-magnetic sensor or actuator engineering for automotive systems (Hall effect IC sensors, electrical solenoid valve, dc motor, etc.). Electrical sensor or actuator engineering job experience. 2D and 3D modeling experience using Catia and other CAD software. Ability to travel up to 30%.
