Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities as well as large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Sr. Project Manager.
What you will do: The Sr. Project Manager assists the operations department in meeting project completion schedules and labor and material cost budgets as directed, manages from onsite the vendors and subcontractors, and develops relationships with local vendors and subcontractors as failsafe contingencies. The role ensures the quality of workmanship, safety and documentation per project and is responsible for both the development of detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity schedule and other issues, changes in scope etc. for their projects and for contract agreements and negotiations with potential subcontractors or minority vendors. The position constantly monitors projects for profit and loss margins to meet or exceed estimates, directs multiple project managers or site supervisors in realizing changes to the scope of work, and the documentation and approval of the change orders, and reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project. Additionally, the Sr. Project Manager provides documentation, reports, and information to operations as directed and identifies initiates and monitors installation standards, and technical training sessions for technicians.
What you will need: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Project Management. Current experience in project management. Advanced experience in engineering. Experience in generation and switchgear. Experience in utility, cogeneration, and General/Electrical Construction. Industry related certifications such as PM / PMI certification, BICSI certification, cost accounting, finance, scheduling, and construction management a plus.
