Wixom, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the tier-one automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer – C.
What you will do: The Sr. Embedded Software Engineer – C is responsible for embedded systems software development for automotive control units. The role provides software design (from draft to test and final implementation) for control units (embedded systems and PC), analyzes customer requirement and writing software requirements, system requirements and reviewing them with customers, and develops software architecture and design according to internal and external software requirements. The position develops C-programming interfaces to integrate modules and meet customer requirements, integrates basic software modules and module libraries in order to meet customer requirements, and enters, updates, tracks and maintains software requirements as per company processes. Additionally, the Sr. Embedded Software Engineer – C is responsible for code development, integration and software release, cooperates closely with hardware design, test and manufacturing personnel, and participates in multi-disciplinary team during development of product from concept to production.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in automotive software. High technical expertise writing embedded C-programming applications. Proficiency using software editors, debuggers, etc. Functional expertise: hardware drivers, analog/digital I/O, control algorithms, serial interfaces (J1708/1939, CAN, GMLAN or similar), diagnostic protocols. MatLab/ SimuLink knowledge is a plus. Hardware knowledge related to microcontrollers (Renesas,Freescale, etc) and their setup procedures. Knowledge of software control tools and configuration management tools. Knowledge of CMM or SPICE process requirements.
