Greensboro, North Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities and their large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Drafter.
What you will do: The Drafter is responsible for new product design supplier specifications and integration, reviewing supplier specifications and technical data, and writing RFQ (request for quote) documents and manage supplier submittals including down-selecting for final parts and following up on prototype deliveries to ensure we meet development schedules. The position reviews existing designs for compliance with PowerFab design standards and goals, creates/documents additional design standards, and attends pre-ship meetings and ensures any shop red-lines get incorporated into as-built prints. Additionally, the role reviews drafting output prior to release for production and identifies/executes projects that reduce the overall cost to manufacture, install and operate our generator products.
What you will need: Proficient with 3-D CAD software, preferably AutoCad Inventor. Generator or other reciprocating engine packaging experience. Working understanding of IBC, NPFA, ISO and other building / construction / installation codes. Experience with Under Writers Laboratory listings and classifications.
