Southfield, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a manufacturer of new technologies for the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they are on the hunt for a Sr. Designer.
What you will do: The Sr. Designer creates Class-A (Single Span) 3D models from 2D drawings and input from Designers, meets engineering design specifications/deadlines, and works with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and fabricators. The position designs digital interior/exterior vehicle models based on scan data through reverse engineering for visual review as well as models based on designers’ illustrations/verbal direction, for visual review. The role creates digital models assuring accuracy of the general appearance and the articulated parts while realizing the requirements of the fabrication team and creates animations for presentations and reviews.
What you will need: Advanced experience in automotive design. Interior and exterior product experience. Advance surfacing experience with Catia, ICEM, or Alias. Experience with Class A software/digital modeling/Advanced surfacing. Experience in computer surface and 3D modeling for an automotive OEM.
