Riverside, California – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global, electronics company to identify an Applications Engineer for a newly created role.
What you will do: This position will accompany the sales department with direct contact to potential customers to explain the technical aspects of a product. The role will provide technical sales support for the industrial & consumer markets to achieve design wins by providing circuit protection solutions for specific applications for both individual customers and for general use, sorting through customer technical issues to determine correct part selection, quality issues, etc. and engage proper product line resources to get issues resolved. The position will identify/specify new product opportunities to drive new products into product engineering including the identification of market trends and work through Marcom to develop technical sales collateral for use with RSMs, representative firms and distribution channel partners. In addition, the position will provide training to RSM’s, representative firms and distribution channel partners while also publishing technical papers in trade magazines. The role must also facilitate new product development by identifying gaps in the product portfolio, participate in new product development as the technical liaison, attend trade shows, and be up to date on competition behavior, activities and product releases.
What you will need: Completed four year degree in Engineering. Current experience in an applications engineering role with a semiconductor product line. Ability to travel extensively, 40%-60% of the year from the Midwest to the East Coast.
