Software Quality Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with a privately held multinational company in the automotive space. Our 50-year-old client is stable, growing and paid out their bonuses above 100% for the last 4 years and look to continue with strong growth. Because of this, they have a newly created position for an Software Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Software Quality Engineer develops the Software Quality Plan, provides software quality reviews, and ensures that internally developed requirements satisfy the customer requirements. The role provides software validation testing to ensure compliance, ensures that the proper level of traceability exists between customer, internal requirements and test requirements, and tracks/reports software quality metrics. The position assists in preparing and validating the contents of software delivery documentation, assists in entering requirements into the DOORS database, and tracks/reports software anomalies. Additionally, the Software Quality Engineer participates in software design reviews.

What you need: B.S. in Engineering or Software. Software development/software quality experience. Working knowledge of the ASPICE and ISO 26262 software development process. Understanding of safety-critical systems design. Working knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements. Experience with issue tracking software (JIRA). Experience with IBM Rational DOORS. Understanding of configuration management tools. Experience with HIL testing.
