Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working a tier one supplier of automotive systems and due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for a Software Engineer.
What you will do: The Software Engineer develops control algorithms for embedded controllers, implements control algorithms using Assembly and C programming languages, and writes low-level hardware drivers. The role develops software that is compliant to the SW development process, assists in developing hardware/software test plans, and participates in design reviews. The position investigates/evaluates new technology, performs benchmarking of competitors products, and occasionally interacts with OEM customers. Additionally, the Software Engineer mentors other software engineers.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in software development using C software for embedded controllers. Knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols and diagnostics. Understanding of safety critical systems design. Working knowledge of MISRA C and ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements. Low level software driver design. Experience with Renesas RL78 and RH850 microcontrollers and IAR Workbench for RL78 and RH850. Experience in a SW development environment that is a minimum ASPICE or CMMI level 2. Experience with Vector CAN tools and software drivers.
