Lexington, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a national manufacturer of consumer products and industrial goods. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Software Engineer.

What you will do: The Software Engineer resides in the R&D group being responsible for the development, design and management of software projects in the MS ASP.NET, Oracle and SQL Server environment. The role works in collaboration with an international team including project management and product marketing managers, creates specifications for internal/external customers, and analyzes information from customers and marketing to understand their business and their technical needs. The position creates high-level software design specifications, breaks high-level software design down to low-level software design, and creates software and documentation per the requirements and specifications. Additionally, the Software Engineer works with software testers, system testers, product technical specialists and customers to troubleshoot and debug software issues, estimates the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements for software development, test and deployment at customer facilities, and liaises with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure that products and services meet system requirements and customer needs.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering. Current experience in software engineering. Experience in project management and coordination. Experience working with suppliers, offshore design teams and international teams. Experience in ASP.NET, Oracle and SQL Server – VB.NET, C#, PL/SQL, T-SQL, XML. Experience with MySQL, ASP.NET MVC, PHP, HTML5, TFS, SVN, Java, Android, Linux, Infragistics, and Dev Express. Experience in Design Patterns. Experience in HMI Development. Knowledgeable in packaging and installation, WCF (SOAP web services for communication with controller), App – programming, license keys and unit testing. Ability to travel 10-20% to customer sites.
