Software Developer – Manufacturing

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Software Developer.

What you will do: The Software Developer takes direction from the software technical lead, is responsible for one or more modules of the LGCPI Battery Management System software, and supports the software validation team in designing requirements. The role is responsible for code construction, static analysis, unit testing and peer reviews, and ensuring proper revision control of all work products, while also working independently to execute work plans, provide status updates and adjust to changing requirements. The position participates in the software change review board, tracks and analyses software requirements changes, and supports quality, reliability and robustness efforts (DFMEA, Fault Tree analysis.). Additionally, the Software Developer supports troubleshooting of software issues for both development and production software releases.

What you will need: B.S in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Embedded software development in C and/or C++. Structured software design and code development methods experience (e.g. SPICE/CMMI) preferred. Quality and reliability disciplines experience (FMEA, 8D, APQP) preferred. Experience with major automotive microprocessors (Motorola/Freescale, Intel, STMicro) preferred. Automotive network data structures, protocols, (e.g. CAN, GM LAN, FNOS, J1939) desirable. Matlab/Simulink/RTW experience desirable. HV battery systems desirable. ISO-26262/IEC-61508 desirable. Hardware design experience desirable.
