Knoxville, Tennessee – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a large power integration company and due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Service Technician – Electrical.
What you will do: The Service Technician – Electrical is responsible for the tear down, repair and refurbishment of low and medium voltage breakers, testing and maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical apparatus in shop and on site. The role performs testing on low, medium and high voltage breakers including megger, ductor, hi-Pot, hi-current, and timing tests, completes mechanical work and repairs on breakers including wiring, painting, parts replacement, and reads meters, schematics and plotted curves. The position tests power transformers, performs low and medium voltage cable testing and terminations, and tests/repairs high voltage switches. Additionally, the Service Technician – Electrical performs low, medium and high voltage bus building and repair, performs relay testing and calibration, and leads a crew in the field for testing/maintenance/repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and associated equipment.
What you will need: High school diploma. Experience as a switchgear/high voltage Technician. Proficiency with high current test set and time current curves. NETA Level II or III.
