Senior Product Engineer-Electronics

Livonia, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Product Engineer – Electronics.

What you will do:  The Product Engineer – Electronics is responsible for researching, recommending, implementing, and maintaining the PCB Assembly process, while also keeping competitive in the assembly of electronic assemblies by interfacing with customers, vendors and other departments on Quality system matters. The role implements and maintains PCB Assembly processes and equipment, determines necessary operator training with respect to machine operation and assembly techniques, and develops/evaluates process set-up specifications for each individual product. The position prepares/verifies production samples for use as assembly aids to inhibit incorrect assembly, initiates procedures to set-up and maintains statistical process control information in conjunction with quality control, production and management, while also generating computer programs for automatic assembly equipment. Additionally, Product Engineer reviews/implements tooling process improvements with new procedures, materials or equipment which results in cost reductions or quality improvements, directs/coordinates prototype builds within the assembly plant, and develops/analyzes failure mode and effect analysis for the production process to evaluate/process design compatibility.

What you will need: Bachelors Degree in Engineering. Current experience in electronic process engineering. Experience in automotive manufacturing.
