Syracuse, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading manufacturer of capital equipment for both industrial and consumer use. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a new position for a Plastics Design Engineer.
What you will do: The Plastics Design Engineer performs mechanical design of injection molded plastic housings to protect electronics in harsh environments. The role performs the requisite engineering analyses to predict performance of designs, designs/participates in the testing with which predictive analyses can be correlated, and prepares/presents summaries of designs, including results of analysis and testing. The position lead teams and mentors less experienced team members, while also representing the company to customers and suppliers.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in plastics (injection molding). Experience with testing within a manufacturing environment.
