Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Hardware Manager.
What you will do: The HEV Hardware Manager leads the electronics hardware engineering team in the development of the electronic hardware. The role is a working manager role in hardware over an engineering team with specifications and designs for use by software and development, collaborates with foreign counterparts in the development and management of the hardware technology roadmap, and supports the incorporation of ISO26262 into the development of the hardware. The position follows quality disciplines for requirements capture, design documentation, and test plan creation, execution and test results documentation, develops intellectual property to maintain leadership in electronic hardware design and manufacturing, and plans/implements CAD/CAE tools for efficient and reusable designs. Additionally, the HEV Hardware Manager develops core engineering processes and disciplines for continuous improvement, including peer reviews of designs, competitive benchmarking, bookshelving criteria, validation and implementation of key hardware design elements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with an electronics background. Experience leading core design teams for electronic hardware. Program/project management experience with motor vehicle programs (automotive, heavy truck). HEV, EV experience is desirable. Applications engineering experience in electrical/electronic products with embedded software. Experience in automotive networks (e.g., CAN) and systems integration is desirable. Experience with high power circuits, e.g., interfacing to inverter circuits or using FET’s and IGBT’s for PWM is desirable. Experience with quality.
