Sales and Operational Planning Manager

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a world leader in their respective manufacturing space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an S&OP Manager that will report to the Director of Supply Chain.

What you will do: The Sales and Operational Planning Manager is responsible for building and implementing a robust sales and operations planning process across the region to improve customer service, working capital and asset utilization, while also leading the establishment and execution of the regional S&OP processes. The role executes all facets of the S&OP process to provide an optimum customer service level and working capital performance, defines, designs, and leads the implementation of tools necessary to support the newly established supply chain organization and processes, and partners with the marketing and sales to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast. The position works with the regional demand planner to develop key measures of performance related to forecast accuracy, partners with regional and plant resources to develop plans for planning transportation capacity, dock capacity and production capacity, and drives the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace. Additionally, the Sales and Operational Planning Manager integrates North American strategies with Category Managers from other global regions, facilitates the sharing of best practices within region and with peers globally, and maintains a close working relationship with the fabrication process experts.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree required in business, materials management or engineering. Current experience in sales and planning management. Proven leadership with inventory planning, purchasing, demand planning or inventory control. Ability to travel up to 30%.
