Paragould, Arkansas – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading supplier of packaging products. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Safety Specialist – Manufacturing.
What you will do: The Safety Specialist – Manufacturing leads, develops, and implements all safety and workers’ compensation programs. The position champions safety committees and provides support as a mentor and coach for committee members, while also conducting incident investigations and trend analyses to identify loss drivers. The role implements effective programs to abate hazards and reduce frequency and severity rates and drives continuous improvement through behavior-based safety initiatives and employee education and training. Additionally, the Safety Specialist – Manufacturing ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and company policies/requirements, identifies and implements best practices to deliver bottom-line safety results and support the Strategic Safety Plan, and schedules, facilitates, and/or conducts safety training in order to prevent accidents/injuries. This role will report to the plant manager with a dotted line to corporate safety.
What you will need: Current experience in plant safety. Experience in safety management within a manufacturing environment. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards.
