Southfield, Michigan Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is partnering with a company that is leading the way in advanced production systems for full body, components manufacturing and turnkey body shops. Due to their recent growth, the company is searching for a Robotics Application Engineer to fill a new position.

What you will do: The Application Engineer works in conjunction with engineering on the development and tryout of new and innovative technologies. The position attends project meetings and schedules meetings with tech suppliers, acts as a technical liaison between engineering and manufacturing, and is responsible for the development of interface between robot and peripheral equipment. The role works with Controls Engineering during de-bug and commissioning, reviews drawing package for correct interface, verifying the interface matches application, and downloads OLP programs, while also configuring robot D-Net/I/O communication. Additionally, the Robotics Application Engineer sets up signals to peripheral equipment, teaches robot path programs: Weld, Material Handling, Maintenance, Tip Dress Etc, debugs programs and verifies all signals to and from the PLC, while also documenting all changes in PLC and Robot programs.

What you will need: Experience in robot programming. Current experience in application engineering. Knowledge of manufacturing. Ability to travel to customer/supplier facilities both domestic and international for extensive and extended periods of time, up to 80%
